Today is a momentous day for both Palm Beach County Black Business Investment Corporation (PBCBBIC) and Pathway Capital Funding, Inc. (PCF) as we bid a fond farewell to our esteemed leader Marlon D. White and eagerly welcome the dynamic Pamela Stewart as our new President and CEO.

Palm Beach County, FL – Palm Beach County Black Business Investment Corporation (PBCBBIC) & Pathway Capital Funding, Inc. (PCF) are excited to announce Pamela Stewart, becomes the first female president of these two organizations.

Marlon D. White, President and CEO of both PBCBBIC and PCF announces his retirement effective Today, March 31, 2023. White, who has been a part of PBCBBIC since inception, then becoming President in 2018 and has been with PCF since its inception in 2020. Mr. White has made significant contributions during his tenure, providing small, minority, and women-owned businesses with loans, technical assistance, and financial literacy training.

With more than 40 years of experience in commercial and retail banking, White has held various positions, including Senior Vice President/Regional Manager at SunTrust Bank, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Grand Bank & Trust, and VP/Business Banker at PNC Bank. In his retirement, Marlon plans to spend time with family, golfing, fishing, and traveling.

Pamela Stewart, the first woman to hold the position, has been appointed as the new President and CEO of PBCBBIC and PCF, effective April 1, 2023. 

Stewart brings over 20 years of management experience, community-based lending, and small business development. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Management from Florida State University and an Associate degree in risk management from the Insurance Institute of America.

In her new role, Stewart will leverage PBCBBIC's resources, knowledge, partnerships, and programs to support inclusive and equitable strategies that align with its mission and vision. Her extensive background includes serving as a Small Business Loan Officer at both PBCBBIC and PCF, Small Business Loan Officer at Urban League of Broward County, Finance Manager at Venture X Franchise, and President and CEO of Paragon Florida, Inc.

As a visionary and strategic leader, Stewart has demonstrated the ability to build and manage diverse teams that create innovative, problem-solving products and services. 

She has a history of inspiring, mentoring, developing, and retaining staff and high-caliber teams, as well as significant experience in fundraising, managing major donor portfolios, and leading revenue-generating operations for organizations.

Stewart aims to lead collaborative efforts in expanding access to capital, financial literacy training, and technical assistance for black and minority-owned businesses.
